The Department of English and American Studies at the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski celebrates its 90th anniversary. The event coincided with the celebrations of the 130th anniversary of the University’s founding.
Initially, Sofia University offered training in English Studies within its German Studies department before establishing a separate English and American Studies major in 1928.
