On February 27th, 2019, Ambassador Eric Rubin attended the opening of Muzeiko Children’s Museum’s new exhibit Makers Space. “One of the most impressive of America for Bulgaria Foundation’s partnerships is Muzeiko. Muzeiko is truly a marvel – an inspiring place that enriches the lives of Bulgarian children every day. Muzeiko nurtures children’s interest in science and technology, which is important as we aim to prepare the next generation for the challenges that await them,” noted Ambassador Rubin during the event. Makers Space invites children to try and build their own glider, experiment with different materials and dimensions, and find out why some models fly better than others. Another activity invites children of all ages to develop and test varying materials and shapes, then discover how they fly in a wind tube. Children will also be able to assemble drones and learn about the difficult missions drones undertake to help people in natural disasters or isolated areas.
