On April 13 Ambassador Rubin joined Bulgarian and American Fulbright alumni, representatives of partner organizations, official guests, and Fulbright friends at a gala marking the 25th anniversary of the Fulbright Commission in Bulgaria. Ambassador Rubin expressed gratitude to the Fulbright Commission, Board and staff, as well as long-standing partners such as the America for Bulgaria Foundation, for sustained work supporting and promoting U.S.-Bulgarian cultural and educational exchanges. Complementary U.S. and Bulgarian government funding of the Bulgarian Fulbright Commission allows Bulgarian and American scholars, students, teaching assistants, and professionals to participate in exchange programs, and provides advice on study in the U.S.
