The CorPlus 2016 Spelling Bee summer camp was held July 10-16 at Balkan Jewel hotel near Razlog. The 30 national finalists and their teachers were rewarded for their effort and hard work while preparing for the 2016 national English spelling competition. Participants improved their English language skills, confidence and self-esteem, and learned about American history, culture, traditions and sports. The students enjoyed fun English language activities, baked chocolate chips cookies and rice crispies treats, played baseball and Frisbee, learned a lot of American camp songs, and made s’mores around the campfire. Friendship bracelets marked a successful camp program and the beginning of many long-lasting friendships.
