Ambassador Eric Rubin handed out the first four J-1 visas of the 2019 SWT program. “The Summer Work and Travel Program gives students from around the world the chance to live and work in the United States during their college and university summer breaks, to meet Americans, and learn about the American culture and way of life. Since the year 2000, more than 110,000 Bulgarian students have participated in the Summer Work and Travel Program” – said Ambassador Rubin.
Approximately 5,000 Bulgarian students on Summer Work & Travel this summer will share their culture in the United States, and build new and lasting relationships between the two countries.
