Ambassador Eric Rubin and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov took part in the opening of the new Sensata Technologies plant in Plovdiv today. Sensata Technologies is one of the world’s leading suppliers of sensors, electrical protection, control systems and power management solutions, and the plant in Plovdiv is the second one that this company has opened in Bulgaria. In his opening remarks, the Ambassador said that Bulgaria is one of the few countries in the world where Sensata has two plants and praised the company for already creating more than 2,000 jobs in this country. The ceremony was also attended by Plovdiv Mayor Ivan Totev, Sensata President Martha Sullivan, Sensata General Manager Tommy Van Erlst, other officials, Sensata employees, local residents, and media.
