On January 13th, Amb. Eric Rubin welcomed Roma students from the Hristo Botev school in the Bulgarian city of Stamboliyski to celebrate the coming Roma New Year, also known as Vassilitsa, with them. The students performed for the Embassy community, sharing their Roma traditions and wishes for a happy life and a better world. The children used survachkas to wish Amb. Rubin and his colleagues a fruitful 2017. Amb. Rubin in return wished them success as students and urged them to do what they can to make their parents, teachers, and community proud.
