Romani High School Students Visit the U.S. Embassy

In honor of International Roma Day today U.S. Embassy Sofia hosted 2 Romani high school students participating in the Ambassador For A Day initiative.  We were honored to meet Esil -a 9th grader from the village of Blagoevo- who dreams of becoming a human rights lawyer, and Lachezar -an 8th grader at the Natural Science and Math School in Kazanluk- who is an aspiring actor and Space Camp Turkey graduate.  Deputy Chief of Mission Justin Friedman met with Esil and Lachezar, and both students shadowed diplomats from several Embassy sections.  We wish Esil and Lachezar, and all Romani children, success achieving educational and professional goals.
