The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) presented the final results of Second Annual Survey of the web sites of the biggest municipalities in Bulgaria based on the E-governance Performance Index at a press conference on October 25, 2016 at the Press Center of the Bulgarian News Agency in Sofia. The event was part of the project “Your municipality is waiting for you online” implemented by EPI in partnership with E-governance Institute at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and with the financial support of the U.S. Embassy in Sofia. Tammy Paltchikov, Cultural Attaché at the U.S. Embassy, greeted the team and underlined the importance of the study for transparency and accountability of municipalities. For a second year in a row the web sites of Burgas Municipality (51.93 points out of 100) and Sofia Municipality (45.33) ranked first and second, while the Dobrich Municipality scored third (40.25) among the surveyed 27 municipal web portals.
