On June 4, 2016 the Civil Affairs Team 8231 participated in a local community trash pick up along a five mile mountain trail located at Priroden Park Sinite Kamani, Sliven.

The event was attended by about 60-70 local nationals, and seven members of the U.S. Military.   The clean up was split into two groups those that would take a left up the mountain and clean up around the peak and the second group which the team was in, hiked the five mile trail and picked up trash as they went.

Once the trash clean up was complete the locals held a lunch/small festival.  The team was treated to traditional Bulgarian music and was taught and invited to participate in a traditional dance.
