U.S. professor Paul Sracic, chair of the Department of Politics and International Relations at Youngstown State University, who was on a visit to Sofia on an IIP Program, explained the nuts and bolts of the U.S. election process and talked about the role of the media in the U.S. presidential election before journalists, NGO representatives, students, and members of the general public at the Red House Center for Culture and Debate on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016. Paul Sracic addressed issues related to the main topics of the U.S. election campaign, the media coverage of the candidates, and the voters’ attitudes towards the contenders reflected in the latest opinion polls.
